Product Description

Durastar's composite tote tanks pair a blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) inner bottle with a rigid, hot-dipped galvanized tubular steel cage and integrated pallet — the workhorse intermediate bulk container for storing and transporting bulk liquids across transportation, storage, and production environments. Each composite IBC keeps the bottle interior shaped for complete discharge, and a 2" cam-lock valve with quick-connect makes filling and dispensing fast. Built as a lightweight tote tank, it handles dense, demanding liquids that lighter packaging can't carry safely. Many options are a UN certified IBC — UN 31HA1/Y rated for hazardous materials (Packing Group II) — and a Transport Canada certified IBC, manufactured to ISO 9001 standards and FDA-compliant as a food-grade IBC on new and rebottled units. That certification makes it a proven hazardous goods container, rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity. The galvanized cage adds corner guards and two large indent plates for stability and can stack up to 3 high full or 6–7 high empty, depending on application and level of care. Durastar supplies these tote tanks in three build tiers — All-New, a Rebottled IBC, and a Reconditioned tote tank, so you can match certification and budget to the application. The Rebottled series, our most requested tier, installs a brand-new HDPE bottle into a structurally inspected, refurbished steel cage: full UN and food-grade certification at a lower cost than all-new, and a capable chemical storage tote for industrial liquids. This lightweight IBC ships from depots across the country — Durastar is a Canada-wide distributor and manufacturing partner and can source the right configuration close to you. Best Uses & Applications

These composite tote tanks suit any operation that stores or transports bulk liquids and needs certified, reusable packaging. Material compatibility and food-grade use depend on the build tier: new and rebottled units carry full food-grade certification, while reconditioned units are intended for non-food and industrial service.

  • Bulk liquid storage and industrial liquid transport
  • Hazardous and non-hazardous chemical handling
  • Food-grade liquids (new and rebottled units)
  • Oils, syrups, and other dense liquids up to 1.9 S.G.
  • Manufacturing and production feedstock
  • Warehousing and distribution
  • Reusable / returnable packaging programs

Confirm certification and material compatibility for your specific product before ordering — our team can help you match the right tier. Get in touch and we'll spec it with you.
